Wow weak week on the blog!
Sorry about the absolutely horrible week of updates, I have been on bed rest most of it, and doped up the other half! Here is a band for a friday night! Party lick a rock star! So here's what's been new lately. Throat Infection, Tonsilitis was Finally Confirmed after 7 months of infections! Tonsils Come Out August 19! Been bedrest and on meds! Been wearing pants which is always unfortunate. And I think 90 % of my week was spent in a waiting room of some sort. I don't mind too much, they are kind of relaxing when you are on msn or texting ;]

A little surprise for the weekend!!
Tonight was a fun night to say the least! Went to the Brooklin Spring Fair with Jonothan, but did not win a life fish! :( I did however get to see the tractor pulls, and hang out for the night NOT being home! Then we came back here and started watching a movie! Tonight on the other hand, it's time to head on out to Sarah's place for her get together, which should be fun! I don't recall how I found this website, but however I did, I am very thankful! Music.AOL (new releases full cds) allows you to stream full new release cd's! Weekend Ended
This weekend has been a little busy, and it's time to update the blog! Today was pretty slow, I sat around and watched TV and had some music going. I got a few CD's this weekend, and one of them was from the band ARCHITECTS (From the UK) which played with Misery Signals on friday (Sick show!) so today that is one of the bands of the day.

- This band blew the roof off of the building with their set at Johnny B's. They were really tight, energetic, and amazing. Not to mention the deep bass drops that made me smiler super wide like this :D which was nice! So yeah, this band blew me away and made me smile with their set, so they win. Pick up their CD HOLLOW CROWN if you get a chance :)

- For those who read my blog and don't like the crazy metal music, here is some Electronica music to make you dance. They added me on Myspace yesterday. They make me think of an episode of "How I Met Your Mother" when they decide to go clubbing. Barney grinds agaisnt his cousin. Really funny episode, but none the less, it makes me think of that because there is a quote "Want to go dance to repetitive beats that have not changed since the early 90's?" and, if you listen to the beginning of their song "Stories In X Rated Form" it sounds like the song at the club they go to. :)

Weekend Update + HILLS BELOW!
This weekend has been very busy and amazing! Yesterday was a good day filled with amazing activities. It started out just walking around with Jonothan taking pictures and hanging out with Remi to grab a quick bite to eat. Once we ate, Remi parted ways after meeting up with TB, and Jono and I headed to the island with TB!. The island was friggin cold. None the less, we were there for a few hours, watched the fireworks all together. We climbed in a tree to hang out while waiting, which made TB feel at home, you know, the whole being brazilian does that to you. Yes TB! We went out of our way to make you feel comfortable and as if you were at home in the trees with monkeys. After sitting around, and watching the fireworks we headed back and went to JACK ASSTORS to have a late night snack. What happens when there is no way home at like 2 am? CAB IT HOME. A $40 Cab ride later. I got home. Slept. So that was a fun adventure. If only Jonothan did not have to work the following morning we proably would have stayed in Toronto for the night.

OH M GEE!
Hokay, Here is the deal, I was Inspired by Lyndon Wade to start shooting again, and this time, a real push, so here is what I am doing! READ THIS! IMPORTANT! :))
I am going to be making a video for MshyPhotography.com and Guid[e]o (Ya, the E is optional but I take it anyways!) will be filming it. So here is what needs to be done in order to get this video filmed! Get ready for this because this is HUGE news coming your way, and if you have a weak uterus it will perforate it and make a house in there and grow a family of news.
Mshy will be offering a photoshoot to THREE PEOPLE/BANDS in ONE SINGLE DAY, and here is how that will work.
1) Contact me:I will be shooting 3 clients this single day. It can be a band, models, people, whatever! We will be shooting BACK to BACK to BACK! It is going to be a super busy day and mshy will have a mini-food buffet setup with chips, pop, etc throughout the day. There will be epic amount of shooting going on and it will all be VERY CHEAP (Roughly $50 for whole day) (DONATIONS _REALLY_ ACCEPTED!)
2) Location:This will all be shot in the same location, and it will be in a hotel room (Details to follow as to which hotel, dates etc) and there will be three different themes going on. This hotel room will have a bed, shower/bath, and as well as a kitchenette, and possibly a balcony (Looking at a DOWNTOWN TORONTO hotel for this one) for the night! so you guys can all chill pretty much for the day if you want. It will be SATURDAY-SUNDAY.
3) Filming:Guideo will be randomly filming the whole thing, and I will share with the clients the video (Youtube-MySpace-Facebook-ETC) for you guys to use, and it will also go on my website! It will be absolutely amazing, I promise. There will be some amazing shooting going on, and some filming, and it's pretty much a day of hangouts! Come one come all! Hell you can even just come and hang out! Hahaha :)
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT: FIRST THREE BANDS/MODELS/CLOTHING COMPANIEs/MIDGETS/FISH MONGERS/NYMPHOS will be taken in for this shoot. This shoot will most likely be in june at some time. It will be in a hotel room DOWNTOWN TORONTO so if you don't want to do that, too bad don't contact me! If you have any fun and amazing ideas for this, or want to add your two cents (Of if your american whatever that two cents converts too) just drop me a comment!

Tuesday is very chillin!

First of all, hope you all had a great weekend! Today is going to be a very long post, so pace yourself for some epic amount of reading coming up! Let's get this started. And also, before you ask yourself why Missouri is randomly in the title of today's blog title. Today's three bands are all from Missouri!

Long Time Overdue!
ENTER GHOST tanked that show. I just got home from one of my favorite ENTER GHOST shows. Good times :)! I know I did not update yesterday, but I was not home and unable to do so! So today I will give you two bands. First off is a long overdue band, the one and only ENTER GHOST

Shower, sleep, work. I had a great weekend with TB! full of random, fun, and amazing chills and hangouts, but now it is time for the week to come back to it's routine. Have a nice week ya'll. Hope you had a nice weekend! So this weekend what did I do. TB and I helped with cowhunt, I hugged a street car driver, I poked some fog. Walked in the rain. Made pasta! Spent a lot of money at Sonic Boom ... which was a bad idea. Watched THE DEVILS REJECTS and Johnny Mnemonic. To end off the weekend, I had a sick ENTER GHOST show, so no complains! :)

Damn Those Cupcake Abductions.
Ok, so mondays are a fun day. Time for arts and crafts now! Today's beat black featured article (because i know she will laugh at me doing this, and also be upset at the same time in some sort of way!) is the following:
A brief history of the squid. The squid is a creature that swims vividly underwater and also destroys nations to cure boredem. It has been said that squids are the leading animals in collecting cupcake memorabilia. Don't believe me? Try and prove me wrong. I dare you. Now here is the serious issue with squids, Ever find yourself trying to fight off a squid while trying to get to the store to buy a new cd while a dolphin crowd traps you in? No? How about walking home with a box of delicious cupcakes. I know I have, all the time. Most recently while wearing my cupcake necklace actually. GOOD NEWS You no longer have to worry. We all know squids have two single fears. The first one being the most obvious, Spoons. They are TERRIFIED of spoons. The second one, is not so obvious, They are deathly afraid of necklaces that are made into the shape of squids. On that note I present you:
Anti-squid abductions device from the future.

I love bands who have amazing promo shots and make me jealous and want to start booking more shoots! Triple Threat Thursdays!
GAME 1 of MONTREAL CANADIENS vs BOSTON BRUINS for Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Tonight! Another riot waiting to happen? What The Nostrils?!
I think I am losing my mind.... I never miss anything music related, new bands, new tours, new albums.... What is wrong with me? I missed the video premiere for PIERCE THE VEIL! This was actually released on April 9 (So like a week ago! What the frigg!) So without further doodoo, i mean adieu! I mean, a dew? here is the video for PIERCE THE VEIL-Chemical Kids and Mechanical Brides. I love this band, but I will be the first to admit, their previous video is FAR better. Update/The Downtown Fiction!
Happy Monday to all. Just a quick update! This weekend was Easter Weekend and hope everyone had a good one, and did not load up on too many chocolates. This weekend was not so bad, I started off just relaxing and going Downtown Toronto today with no plans, just waste a day away, then came home and watched a movie with Jonothan and Francis P.
Saturday I went to the movies with Jonothan, Francis, Iva, Danica, and Lisa. Friends from school. The movie we saw was 'I love you man!'. It was not taht great. The movie was decent at best, while still being very typical though. Extremely Typical
Sunday was a fun day. I had a nice Sunday with TB! We walked along the harbourfront, went to play with strangers dogs (Kids: DO THIS! ASK YOUR PARENTS TO PLAY WITH STRANGE ANIMALS) and then we went to Bunneh's place to watch a movie with a few other people. And then I came home and slep, woke up this morning with another throat infection. You know - That time of the month it seems!

News! Tour? New Promos Up!
After a few setbacks I am back up and running, although low on funds. I had a few shoots recently in the passed week or so and things have not been going too well with the equipment. I have had a broken Nikon D50 *Repairs can be done* and had to buy a new camera (Nikon D70s USED), as well as light stands, bent umbrellas, and a broken Wireless Reciever. With a few setbacks I am now low on funds and starting to save up again. Time to get back into saving.
I am, on the other hand super stoked to announce that I have decided to go on tour with a band this summer as a PHOTOGRAPHER taking shots for:
- Live shows
- Promos
- Tour coverage
- And all that fun stuff!
I am still scoping out a band right now and am on the lookout so if you know a band touring in the next few months (Preferable in the month of May or onwards) please end them my way or let me know and I will contact them! If you are interested in getting me on your tour let me know via EMAIL (FrancisAllard@gmail.com) or give me a call or text me (905-409-1238). I do have a VALID passport; will pay for own expenses, and can chip in a few bucks occasionally if necessary for the band.
So far it seems promising as I have already had an offer from BRAEBROOK (New name/new everything overhaul coming soon from so keep an eye out for that) to tour with them. Braebrook has been around forever and I have worked with them before, so I am super excited for that. I had done their promos a while ago and have helped out with ther new promos (They will be on myspace soon so check those out). Braebrook has gone through so many changes in members, and have done a lot in the past few years, and I would love to tour with them, so let's hope it works out and I can head out with them across Canada :)
I have also posted new Promos of A BRIGHTER SKYLINE (Mike [Previously from: Embrace The Fall - Enter Ghost]) and they were pretty sweet! We shot these Friday Evening with about 10 minutes of setup per shoot. The shoot went well, minus the injury of that wireless reciever.

Teddy Scares and Zombies do not get along
I decided to setup a quick shoot in my room - in the matter of probably 5 minutes I was setup and shooting this one! It was funny in my head, and it turned out funny. I made this zombie and named him WILFRED a while ago. I hope you enjoy the shots! :)

Oh shows, how i missed to glorious shows!
How often is it you get to see Silverstein for $10 in Oshawa? Not so much, so I took that oppertunity and jumped right on it! The show was rockin! The show had two opening bands: Oshawa's very own THE OCEAN BURIED and from kingston EVERLEA. :)

Update
Here's to another update. It's time to get the ball rolling with these shoots. I will be shooting two models within the next few weeks, as well as a Strobist Meet saturady (March 14) so look forward to new pictures soon!
It's time to get the shoots going again. Also, SILVERSTEIN is playing DURHAM COLLEGE (EP TAYLORS) March 10 (Tuesday) so make sure to go check them out, The Ocean Buried, and Everlea are also playing! Should be good! March 10 is also the day that PUNK GOES POP 2 comes out! So pick that up also!

Great Weekend! Full Of Fun
AS previously mentioned I had gone into this weekend with a TO DO LIST with my friend beatblack! Well, It all started Friday night for a weekend filled with randomness and fun activities! Here is a little overview of the weekend and how it all happened to play out!:
Here's a photoblog of how this all went in the end. We'll start with Friday and work our way through to Sunday! Here we go, get ready to laug, smile, have a good time.
I took the train into Toronto Friday evening around 7:00 and made it to Beat's place around 8:00 for a fun weekend filled with activities. We started out making spaghetti........Out of twist ties we found in draweres which turned into a well plated serving with a fork as you can see.
Once spaghetti was done, we decided to watch a movie. I forget what we watched first. I think it was OVer The Hedge. Such a good kids movie. Here I am seen watching Over The Hedge (I believe this picture was) while Sarah explores my phone. After this movie we walked to Pizza Pizza and had some delicious pizza (We made a list of our ordere in crayons and I had to read it out to order). Then we went back and watched Anchorman.
After a very long night of doing 11 hours of NOTHING we had some sleep. Now - I would like to say some good sleep but we both agree the sleep was very non-nice and it was odd. We did not sleep very well. None the less we woke up the next morning and got ready for the day. While Sarah was showering I did the only thing I could think of.... I colored! We then went to the D-mall (Dufferin Mall) to pick up arts supplies for a later activity mentioned below! Keep eyes peeled for that!
We then took the TTC BLOOR Subway line into the core of toronto, and then transfered at the Spadina station to have a nice lengthy subway ride southbound towards Dundas. Yes we got off (that's what she said) at Spadina and took that southbound and back northbound instead of getting off at Yongue and going straight down. It was more fun this way. We went to the Eaton Centre for some pants (pj's) and a plush toy. And some Valentines day cards. After that we went to eat at EGGSPECTATION (Delicious) and headed back to Sarah's place.
While walking back to the subway station on yongue street from EggSpectation we passed by the Breakdancing V is for Vendetta dude. I took a picture. There was a Police. This dude is hardcore. He wears the V for Vendetta mask and breakdances like nobody's business. It was soaking wet and redicioulous.
We got back home and found a tragedy. I forgot a bag or lost some of the supplies we bought at the Dollar store for our arts and crafts making, and we had a ruined night. Until something magical happened. We decided to make our way to 7-11 to get eggs for a Cupcake making experience. Or so we had planned. The plan changed. We took the Dundas street car to CHURCH and went to the 24 hour METRO subway station and decided to get some supplies. Eggs, animal crackers, frosting, pizza thing, SEWING KITS (WE WERE BACK ON TRACK FOR PLUSH TOY MAKING!), as well as a few other things. Pudding. Lots of pudding. While walking back to UNION STATION this picture occured.
We gathered all the ingredients, started mixing and making our cupcakes. They were delicious.
We started making cupcakes and then Sarah surprised me. We had planned on attempting cakejuice one day. She attempted it with some of the cupcake mix. About 3/4 of a shot of Bracardi and some raw cupcake mixture makes a CAKEJUICE :) - Friggin Delicious I may say so myself! Oh my how it was good. Sarah attempted another and added too much Bracardi and it was not so delicious. Here's what cakejuice looked like. Not so appealing but it was good!
Here are some of the cupcakes. The first batch of them. White cupcakes. Some plain and Some with dinosaur sprinkles in them, or even on top of them. There were actually delicious! They were SO GOOD!
Cupcake Sarah Decorated. This one has a story. The T-rex dinosaurs are chasing the other smaller dinosaurs and hunting them down. Green nerds added the emphesis of Grass. It was funny and I loved it! So amazing :)
We also gave two cupcakes to the Squirrels. One each. Mine was this one.
This one's Sarah's! It has a candle yes. It's a crayon Candle, yes.
So with the supplies we had bought previously that day at Dollarama and then had to re-buy at Metro, we began to have our crafty night at around 2:30 AM and make Plush Toys. This was the first time I was going to sow something together that actually meant something. With thread, scissors, and some tiny-blankets we bought at Dollaram in hand, Craft time had begun!. Here you can see mine in his early stages and rough draft of how he will be made. I drew him funny! You will see the results a little further down the page of how it turned out.
Here's when we started getting into the Arts. Sewing had begun, and cupcakes were being eaten. A bunch of supplies all over the table and everywhere. You also see a lot of other things like cupcakes and arms. Random things and a fun time. Those are arms and not Candy Canes. :)

We had gotten Season 1 on DVD at the Eaton Centre and I had never heard SArah been that excited ever in my life when we were on our way back with Spongebob and Plush TOy plans. It was amazing.

I working hard. I am either sewing or trying to tie those damn knots. I am pretty sure this is where I was attempting to tie knots. Like, hundreds of knots. Look at that my glasses were falling off!
Sarah decided to help me tie the knots on the plush toy. Thank you! She was so amazingly helpful THANKS SO MUCH SARAH for teaching me the sewing of stuffed animals, as well as the epic amount of help you provided. The help of teaching me to flip him inside out, and stitching, and everything! :)
Here is the finished product with a googley eye glued onto him to add some viewing peripherals. He looks pretty damn good for the FIRST ATTEMPT AT DOING ANYTHING LIKE THIS EVER. I am so pleased. I name him Obnoxiousaurus Rex because he is obnoxious and likes poking people? :)
The next day. We went to bed pretty damn late from the arts and craftsing! WE got up around like 2:00 or so! Did not get out of bed until about nearly 4:00 and then watched some 40 year old vrgin. I then departed and ventured back home. I wish I could have stayed forever! Haha
There you have it, the weekend wrapped up and concluded. Thanks Sarah fr a good weekend - Let me know when you want another fun and randomly exciting weekend! No sads now I bet? :) I hope everyone else had a great weekend and is ready for the new week ahead of us! LEt's get through another one and it's Family day - So a long weekend next weekend for lots of people in Ontario!

Let's hope the weekend is better than the previous week... with everything that has been happening. Sickness, super cold weather, lack of fun times due to sickness, and my computer started acting up on me (already - Thanks Microsoft!), amongst other various things that have occured throughout the week. Some good some bad some ugly!
Some of you might have noticed I have been a little inactive as of recently, the passed week or so, and I am sorry. I have been sick (Again - I always get SICK!) and have been just lazy. I am sorry, and postings will be coming back up regularly! I also have a few things coming up! Shoots / Announcements / Others! So stay tuned! for all the exciting news within the next few days, weeks and months! HEre are a few updates for now!
I orderd the two PostSecret books online and they arrived today and I got to pick them up! I have already flipped through them and there are some hilarious, some sad, some amusing, and some outrageous PostSecrets in here! It is worth picking up if you have some extra cash laying around. It's pretty fun to flip through and see what's on everyone's mind out there; and how clever some of them are!
Also; I am working on scheduling a shoot with a model I have used previously and will get that done soon and photos will be posted! I will also be shooting at Toronto Strobist Group in MARCH downtown toronto and am looking for a model or band to come along! It is a day of shooting - FREE IN STUDIO (Message me for details!). Furthermore: Who the hell is Karen Wells

So I guess being awake is not the same thing as sleeping...
What's on my mind you may ask? Where the hell did my blog go!
As some of you may have noticed; the blog has up and peaced away. I logged in to add some information to it and noticed that my BLOG.HTML file was a nice 0kb in size. Odd. Oh well nothing I can do about it now. None the less I am here and updating it! For those living in the Greater Toronto Area and who were unaware, The ART GALLERY OF ONTARIO (AGO) host FREE WEDNESDAY NIGHT ADMISSIONS Wednesday nights from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. IF you have not had a chance to visit the ART GALLERY OF ONTARIO and are not sure of what to expect, I would suggest going on a Wednesday night and having a quick look around! The art Gallery offers many things for everyone, and there are a lot of pieces of work for everyone to see! These two hours will NOT be enough to see everything, but it will give you a chance to have a quick glimpse at the AGO none the less!

Our adventure was amazing, and there was a lot of cool things to look at. Just make sure that if you decide to go, you are ready to be warm. I would suggest going in nicer weather, so you don't have to carry your jacket around (There were coat checks, but it was REALLY busy and I did not want to wait!) and you can actually take your time and inspect things freely. Other than the absurd temperatures, and disgusting weather, and the lack of our significant other beat black, the adventure was fun! Next time you can come out with us and we will make up for your loss...and no There were no hamburgers.
